What's On in May


Town Hall Arts is a centre for arts, culture and heritage learning at the heart of Wiltshire's County Town. We offer an array of professional theatre and dance performances, art exhibitions, workshops, a shop selling work by local artists, artists' studios and a large number of community groups that hire space in this incredible Grade II listed building.

Dying Matters Week

A programme of interesting events spanning the week. Elizabeth Snell will be at Trowbridge Town Hall from 10am on Monday 8th May. Monday 8th - Death Cafe, Tuesday 9th  - Ask the Undertaker, Tuesday 9th - Performance of Dying to Please You, Wednesday 10th - Wills and power of attorney, pre-payment planning and pre-planning (final wishes) for your funeral, Thursday 11th - Dorothy’s Tea Party fundraiser for Dorothy House, Friday 12th - film morning.

Woodturners of Great Britain Exhibition

We are excited to have the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain exhibiting work here with a talk being hosted by John Aitken, AKA The Bowler Hatted Turner, on Thursday 18th May – Tickets £5.

Dementia Friends

Come along to learn a little bit about what dementia is, what it’s like to live with dementia, and how the small changes you make can make a big difference to people with dementia.

Tea Dances
Thurs 25 May  |  2pm - 4.30pm  |  £5 (includes tea, coffee and cake)
Take part in a mixed programme of dances, under the guidance of experienced teacher Mike Freke, whilst enjoying the heritage of the Town Hall’s Supper room. Requests for specific dances are welcome

The Songs of Leonard Cohen
