New Season of Events at Town Hall Arts

We are excited to announce our new season of events at Town Hall Arts. The new brochure will be with us soon and most of the events are now up on our website. In this post you can see what we have coming up in September but do stop by and pick up a brochure or visit our website to see all of the exciting things happening between September 2017 and March 2018


What's On in September 

Professor Elemental
Fri 1 Sep  |  8.30pm
£10 in advance, £12 on the door
Professor Elemental is an award winning hip hop artist and accomplished host, the Professor has performed all over the world. On stage the Professor is a wild combination of music and comedy, incorporating  improvisation and  new material for each live show. Doors 8.30pm.
'Fast and fluid...lovably bonkers' Londonist

Artists' Cafe
Thu 7 Sep  |  10.30am - 12pm
Come along to meet other local artists over a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake. This is an informal drop in session where you can share news and ideas, discuss your practice and artistic challenges and find out about artistic opportunities.


Explore Art Trowbridge

As part of the Heritage Open Days 2017, join us on Saturday 9th September for tours of historical buildings and other events across Trowbridge. All events are free of charge.

The Museum Box Project: Something of place and Library of Pilgrimages

These two exhibitions were created by Space Place Practice, a collective group of multidisciplinary practitioners who share an interest in researching the wider aspects of ‘landscape’.

The Cells Residency

An exhibition in our basement cells revealing the creative results of time spent in the space from June to September 2017 by invited Artist in Residence Andrea V Wright.

Grease - Outdoor Screening
Fri 15th Sep  |  8pm
Free event
Come and relax in the beautiful Trowbridge Park and enjoy an outdoor screening of the classic American musical romantic comedy Grease, starring Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta. 8pm start (or when light allows) gates open at 7pm. PG. Duration: 105 mins.

Trowbridge Arts Youth Theatre
18 Sep - 27 Nov  |  Mon 6.30 - 8pm
£60 per term (includes ticket to a professional performance)
Youth theatre encourages young people to become creators of theatre, gives members a sense of being part of a team to grow in confidence. Ages 11 - 17.

Rolling Strong

Adults £5 Children £3
Two talented Latin American directors from Colombia and Perú, present their latest films. They follow the stories of people who have succeeded despite their motor disabilities in achieving their goals against all odds!

Trowbridge Bookfest

Following two really successful events celebrating the joy of reading with people of all ages we are pleased to be working again with Trowbridge Library and Collaborative Schools Ltd to bring this new and inspiring Bookfest to Trowbridge. Tea Dances

This is an enjoyable afternoon with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. No one gets to sit out for long, and we aim to encourage everyone to have a go!

Exploring Drawing Term 1
28 Sep - 26 Oct | Thurs 5.30 - 7pm
£50 per term
This increasingly popular course is a fantastic opportunity for anyone, keen on drawing, to work with an inspiring teacher to develop their practice. 16+

Let's Draw
Sat 30 Sep  |  11am - 1pm
£10
Suitable for beginners, improvers, or those who feel their drawing is rusty, this workshop will cover topics that many find hard to get ‘right’ when they are drawing. This session will be a fun one based around useful tips, technical guidance and experiments led by Michele Whiting.
